Olive Oil

Olive Oil

There is no place in the world where food is celebrated more than in Greece. Coming from that part of the world I have a passion about olive oil. I believe that olive oil plays a major role on improving and maintaining good health. It is an ancient food born in Greece and it is the healthiest fat on the planet.

It is used to cook with it, bake, fry, saute and many times replaces butter in cakes and cookies. Today people are becoming more and more aware of the nutritional values of olives and olive oil. So let’s unveil the secrets of olive oil and why is recommended by doctors and nutritionists all over the world as part of our daily balanced diet.

Since ancient times in the Mediterranean countries most of the plant parts of the Olea europaea have bean used as effective medical treatments in traditional medicine. Olive phenols with biological activity (called “biophenols”) are sold in liquid or powder formulas.

Olive Oil

Hippocrates, the Father of the Western Medicine said “let your food be your medicine, let your medicine be your food.” Extra virgin olive oil is the magic ingredient that adds flavor to food while it fights and prevents diseases. It is a combination of gastronomical pleasure and healthy eating.

Expert researchers in the University of Granada believe that pomace olive oil, slows down the spread of AIDS in the body by eighty percent. Countless studies around the world show t hat because extra virgin olive oil is very rich in poly-phenols and antioxidants helps in lowering the risk of developing diseases at any age.

In the island of Ikaria in Greece, the extra virgin olive oil consumption is standing at the top of the world’s highest. Ikarians use extra virgin olive oil on food during cooking and after. They are also among the very few places in the world where people live to reach to be ninety to one hundred years old.

It is known all over the world that the tree branch is a symbol of victory (the victors of the ancient Olympics were crowned with an olive branch). It is a symbol of peace (the dove brought an olive branch to Noa when the storm was over). It is also a symbol of prosperity, strength, power and youth.

Extra virgin olive oil is the best nutritional gift we should give ourselves. Use olive oil for better health and in moderation.

Olive Oil

Let’s start an adventure with olive oil that is going to bring better health with delicious experiences. Olive oil was a gift from a goddess and it was created to give comfort and food to man from birth to death.

Olive oil in the very near future is going to become your new anti-inflammatory standby medicine. Your doctor is going to prescribe extra virgin olive oil to prevent aches and pains, and reduce your risk of degenerative diseases.

Put aside your pain killers and enjoy some extra virgin olive oil! It is going to be very beneficial!

Here are some opinions about olive oil, from some famous doctors:

“Extra virgin olive oil is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory foods in existence. Though I cannot promise you an equally long life span (as the olive tree’s life span), I can assure you that you will look younger, think more clearly, be more active, and, yes, extend your life if you incorporate extra virgin olive oil into your diet on a daily basis.

Empower Network Donates $10,000 to Denver Charity

>PRWEB.COM Newswire,

Empower Network

DENVER (PRWEB) July 20, 2013

Empower Network co-founders David Wood and David Sharpe are no strangers to homelessness. Years ago and at different times in their lives, they were each homeless. Today, after putting their collective talents to work and enjoying a real-life rags-to-riches American dream, they run a $60 million company and want to give back.

“I know homelessness and the challenges of it,” said Sharpe. “Therefore, causes like Denver’s Road Home touch my heart. We must help people get off the streets and find food, clothing and shelter. As Empower Network prospers, Dave and I make it a top priority to give to the homeless community. We want to give a hand up to them and share with them the opportunity that we found.”

Denver’s homeless problem is a major issue in the city. There are more than 11,000 homeless men, women and children in the metro Denver area. Of those, nearly 1,000 are living unsheltered on the streets, under bridges or in public buildings.

Denver’s Road Home is a 10-year plan to end homelessness. Now in its seventh year of the plan, Denver’s Road Home has created 2,653 housing opportunities for the homeless, prevented 5,871 families and individuals from becoming homeless and mentored 1,058 families and seniors out of homelessness.

The Empower Network team has a track record of supporting worthy causes, especially those benefiting people and families in need.

Empower Network presented the $10,000 check on Saturday to Denver’s Road Home at its quarterly conference in Denver, held at the Bellco Theater.

Before this donation, Empower Network raised $66,000 for Austin Habitat for Humanity and more than $30,000 for American Red Cross in support of the Boston Marathon Bombing victims.

This most recent donation to Denver’s Road Home will help the organization feed, clothe and house homeless residents. Denver’s Road Home is the local affiliate to 100,000 Homes, a national movement of 205 communities working together to find permanent homes for 100,000 of the country’s most vulnerable homeless individuals and families by July 2014.

James Bush – Cerebral Palsy & Asperger syndrome – James Bush

James Bush

James Bush has Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is defined as a group of disorders that can involve brain and nervous system functions, such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing, and thinking. There are several different types of cerebral palsy, including spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, hypotonic, and mixed.

In James’s case, he can walk. He does spin, twirl and talks to himself. This is perfectly ok and part of his disability of Cerebral and Asperger’s.

James Bush

Asperger syndrome is often considered a high functioning form of autism. It can lead to difficulty interacting socially, repeat behaviors, and clumsiness.

For example, having a full conversion is hard. However, James Bush loves history and news. James Bush could tell you anything you ever wanted to know.

He also loves pop. It was worse in the past. He drinks pop about one can every 2 to 4 hours. It used to be bottles but now it is mostly cans. He is fully aware of this but he is an adult and it’s his choice. Just as eating food. Sometimes James Bush can eat every hour for 2 to 4 hours at a given time. Again, it is his choice. He say’s he’s healthy and not to worry. However, as we all know the “long-term” affects should be considered. In this case and many others, it is usually not until something happens that “real” change occurs — a “mind opener” if you will.

James Bush

He does quite well. He lives in a house and works part-time. He enjoys his job.

He has been on a bowling leaque for Special Olympics in the past locally. The entire bowling alley is filled with players from the surrounding area. It is quite the scene. You would never know they had a disability. James Bush even won a few awards for his bowling performance.

James Bush works at a special place for people with unique needs.

I also have Cerebral Palsy like James Bush. However, unlike James Bush, I do not have Asperger’s. I A couple years ago, my doctor’s put me on a perscription and I gained 20 pounds! In 2013, I have lost almost 10 and am trying to loose 10 – 15 more to get me to where I was and to advoid long-term affects of weight gain. For example, I am at high risk of falling, so if I were to put on 20 – 50+ pounds, I would permanetly end up in an electric wheelchair. In summer 2013, I am able to use a stand alone bike and go 13 miles in 1 hour. However, I cannot walk inside a store or mall without a wheelchair, forearm crutches or assistance. I also have axiety, sleep disorder and severe allergies to everything outside. I currently go for allergy shots weekly — for 5 years — I’m on year 2 and they seem to be helping.

Unlike James Bush I have an electric wheelchair, a manual wheelchair, forearm crutches and can walk independently when inside a home. James Bush is not as at high risk at falling. James Bush lives in a basement and has to walk stairs, a full flight. James Bush speech is not impacted besides talking to himself. I have a slight to moderate speech impairement.

I also graduduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major — communication & journalism. I did however have to appeal not to take a foreign language. That was a very hard task but I won. I did not last 2 weeks in Spanish. Instead, I had to take 4 culture classes.

I’ve known James Bush for years, probably since 6th grade, when a “social group” was formed for physically disabled adults. Although we went to different high schools.

I help him out when his parents go on vacations.

‘Til death do us part.’ Maybe. The strange menage of JoAnn Nichols and herexacting husband James.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant.

Author’s program note. Being that I am a well-known commentator of many years standing, folks are constantly bringing “must” story ideas to my attention. But just how this tale came about is, in my experience at least, unique, as you will see for yourself in the next few minutes.

It started with a good sized box delivered to me by one of the nameless couriers who frequent my neighborhood and buzz me from the lobby. “Package for you, Dr. Lant. No signature necessary,” and then with a “have a good day” on their lips, they’re already on their swift way.

I descended to the lobby via our ancient elevator, and there found the box with my name on it, no return address. I noticed that right away. My informants, after all, commonly wish to go unknown. I dragged the box onto the elevator, as completely uninterested in its contents as it is possible to be. But I was soon to change my mind…

The contents.

I am a stickler for order and efficiency. I was pleased that whoever sent to me was the same, although I didn’t know this until I had taken everything out and spread it all on the floor of my celebrated Red Drawing Room. It was only then that I noticed the envelope marked “Contents of this box.” This envelope was hand addressed in handwriting that was reasonable for our illegible times.

Item: Key ring of my late wife JoAnn Nichols with JN initials, house keys, car keys, etc.

Item: Our wedding license and her wedding ring.

Item: A menu dated December 20, 1985 from the Ground Round Grill and Bar in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Item: A recording of “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby on a seasonably white colored vinyl record.

Item: a letter from me, James Nichols, the man accused of murdering his wife and interring her remains behind a false wall in our house, to you Dr. Jeffrey Lant, the man I have selected to hear my story and, perhaps, to tell it. That’ll be up to you.

And then I remembered the case first reported by the Associated Press and Mr. Nichols had my fullest attention, for the case was sensational, gruesome, grisly and utterly and completely fascinating.

The Last Letter of James Nichols.

By the time you receive this, Dr. Lant, I will be beyond man and man’s justice. Just where I’ll be I cannot say; no man can. But the general run of the world will be certain I am burning in Hell on Satan’s exquisite rotisserie. Perhaps. But, perhaps not. At the critical moment in my life when I murdered my wife, I bet that there is no God, no final judgement, no retribution of any kind; just man’s puny version of deity, cosmos and the eternal.

Anyway, let me start my rendition of events by telling you honestly, I murdered JoAnn after sitting across from her at dinner at the Ground Round in 1985; I have included the dated menu from that night to establish the date beyond cavil. I seem to recall my well-done steak was particularly tasty that evening, though perhaps the savor derived from what I already knew I would do upon returning home and knew that unless I got away with it, this might be my last steak. That made me sad and thoughtful. Murdering my wife did not.

Never worthy of me.

As I contemplated my options vis a vis JoAnn, my eye fell upon the jewelry she was wearing on her sweater. It was a Santa Claus broach, the kind you get at Woolworth’s for $1.59 plus tax. It was cute, of course, entirely appropriate for the first- grade teacher she had been for 22 years; gimcrack, cheap, vulgar; not worthy of the wife of James Nichols, for I am fastidious to a degree, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, a connoisseur. What’s more, I don’t just say this; I can prove it.

I always knew from my earliest days that I was destined for greatness. My mother, a true and thorough lady, told me so. She would take her hands and place my head between them, her eyes looking into mine and say, “James, be worthy of yourself… James, be worthy of me”. Then she would squeeze, hard, to remind me. One day when she did that, I saw, really saw the jewelry at her throat. It was a Maltese cross in what I later learned to call brilliants, 15th century Venetian, studded with rubies. Breathtaking.

It is in the box in front of you now… to live life at the demanding standard of this necklace and my mother who wore it with hauteur, elegance and an unmistakable air of majesty became my firm and constant objective. JoAnn was just a convenience, to be used for what women can be used for and nothing else. And when my dear mother died and I inherited the Maltese cross and stunning rubies, I didn’t even show JoAnn, much less let her wear it. Herein lay the problem.

For you see, I decided to collect more jewels, even a king’s ransom in them… and over time I did. Where did the money come from? For openers, there was JoAnn’s paycheck, meager but useful. And my own ingenuity. Renowned Vassar College was in the neighborhood, and I robbed the young ladies of their pin money and baubles, which I traded up and sold, thereby raising funds to get pieces which became over time luminescent, magnificent, splendid.

I visited my trove often and thrilled as I ran my fingers over some of the Duchess of Windsor’s famous canary diamonds; a magnificent ivory pendant containing a miniature of Marie Antoinette’s sister Marie Christine, and that gem of gems, a diamond and emerald necklace fashioned in St. Petersburg by Faberge’, a gift of Grand Duke Sergei to his wife the Grand Duchess Elizabeth, sister of the last Tsaritsa. All three were killed by revolutionaries, so that I might have it. You, Dr. Lant, with your great knowledge of such matters might imagine how ecstatic and proud I was to acquire this, to acquire everything.

But just acquiring was never my objective. I wanted to see them worn, by a woman who was to the manner born. For this JoAnn had to be taken care of and not by divorce either, for that involved lawyers, expense and the stringent laws of New York. What’s more JoAnn had begun to hint about just how much she knew about my secret life and a trove now worth over $5,000,000. To keep it all intact and forfeit the delights of legal entanglements, JoAnn needed to be permanently removed, neatly, cleanly, surgically, finally, immediately.

It was in the event ridiculously easy to snuff the remaining life in JoAnn’s tired, worn out body. She bent down to turn on the phonograph. Her favorite Christmas song began to play. It was “White Christmas”, and she went to her maker with Der Bingle’s sweet seasonal melodies in the air. Just one blow to the back of her head sufficed. I had been practising, and what I do, I do well. There was hardly any blood at all.

La pie’ce de re’sistance.

Killing someone is child’s play. Getting rid of the body is not. That’s why I’m so proud of my solution to this insistent little problem. I simply buried her intact in a container in a dry basement, behind a false wall and piles of hoarded items, which had hardly any smell whatsoever. Yes, that was a pleasant surprise!

Then I sat down to type the most important letter of my life (until this one), the one I handed to police December 21, 1985. It wasn’t a suicide note; rather a brief letter in which she admitted to “a degree of depression” and the need to go off by herself and get some peace; not least because she was dwelling on the death of our only child, a son, years ago.

Like everything else I touched this masterpiece worked too.

Of course the police “knew” I was guilty. I knew it, too. However they couldn’t prove a thing and couldn’t even get a warrant because the judge said there was insufficient evidence to convict. And so I found out how easy it was to get away with murder, lowering my already deep disdain and contempt for police, judges, courts and every other authority. But you, sir, are not very interested in hearing all this. You, I know, want to know what happened to the trove, the king’s ransom that is my life’s work.

The key.

I could have given it to charity, to wash away some small part of my sins, except that I never thought I’d sinned; quite the reverse, not to mention that I’d been burdened with JoAnn’s putrefying remains and the occasional, always annoying police visit, hoping to trip me up — me!

I found my solution in the astonishingly beautiful article you wrote on your elegant Red Drawing Room. I knew I had found a kindred spirit who would take the necessary pains to protect and enjoy what it has taken me a lifetime to acquire.

Thus in the packing box, beneath a false bottom (I must have my little joke) you will find a key and thorough details on where the trove resides and how to access it so you can bring it back to Cambridge, for yourself.

You will think of course, dear Dr. Lant, of calling the Poughkeepsie Police and Dutchess County authorities, turning this letter and everything else over to them, thereby becoming eligible for the derisory reward they are offering; then writing the story in your elegant, inimitable way.

Think again.

Take my mother’s magnificent jewel-encrusted Maltese cross in hand. Stroke it. See it amongst all your magnificent treasures, substantially augmented by my great gift to you. I think we both know what you’ll do, sir, don’t we?

James Nichols died last December of natural causes, aged 82. He had no heirs. A contractor in Poughkeepsie was clearing out hoarded items and debris from Nichols’ home, when he came across the body of a woman in a sealed container behind a false wall in the basement. She was still wearing a Santa Clause broach in perfect condition. “And may all your Christmases be white…”

You oughta be in pictures… and with the help of this article, you will be, beautiful.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant.

Author’s program note. I was doing one of those thankless tasks that is the result of affluence and impulse buying, namely too many DVDs and VCRs, the result being that my bedroom is overflowing with empty plastic jackets, mismatched, a riot of chaos and disorganization, efficiency and good order the first casualties needing immediate attention.

However, it is the way of such matters to make grand resolutions… then find them, always for the best of reasons, impossible to carry out. Thus, instead of getting my mint collection of Flash Gordon videos organized the way they should be, I popped in an unmarked tape and thrilled to what I saw. It was… me! And I was wonderful!

In the pink at 28 or so… all deliciously captured on film, forever and ever.

The video in question, depicting my popular workshop on how to succeed as an independent consultant, was the result of my friend Paul Bloom volunteering to undertake the bewildering number of technical details that it takes to create magic and that critical connection with your expectant audience. Way ahead of his time, this oh-so-smart cookie, rightly knew and forthrightly told me that with video mastery the world would be my oyster, with “wealth and fame your reward.” And, by golly, he was right.

Thus on a very hot day in about 1977 or so, in an ordinary classroom turned into a makeshift studio with live audience; temperature like the steam room of the Chicago Athletic Club; hotter and hotter from the plethora of sweat-making lights, I faced the truth that is video… and found out that Paul — and Rudy Vallee’ — were right:

I was a natural, video thereby becoming a substantial part of the mail-order enterprise that first turned me into a millionaire by 30, a long time ago. Now I intend to assist you get rich and famous, too… ready to get started? You just couldn’t have a better avatar than Rudy or… me!

Two-step to video mastery… “You Ought to Be in Pictures”.

Even if you’re 60 or 70 or so, you probably couldn’t name a single one of Vallee’s’ mind-boggling array of hits. However, he was prolific, he was cute, he was a real-deal Yalie, and he knew how to keep America dancing and feeling swell. And so he did yet again with his 1934 hit “You Ought to Be in Pictures”, written by Dana Suesse and Edward Heyman.

Go to any search engine prontito and immerse yourself in the background music that will put you into just the right mood to rise higher and higher. It’ll be the ride of your life. Here are the essential tips you’ll need….

Set your objective. It all starts from within.

Since you’ve now listened to the recorded version of “You Ought to Be in Pictures”, you know it’s written from the perspective of an adoring lover paying his girl friend the biggest compliment he can think of. Men have been giving their ladies such posies since there have been men, ladies, and the need to fashion compliments to achieve desirable ends. Effervescent tunes with delectable beats and dance steps fall under this heading… but it’s going take much more to get you started in video.

First, you need the desire to be a “star of stars”. It’s not enough that people tell you, however lyrically, that “you ought to be in pictures.” You’ve got to want it. This essential aspect of the matter eliminates the wannabees who think the final results are marvelous… but who won’t do the necessary to achieve them. Be different. Resolve here and now to be one of the 1% who is truly dedicated to success and will do the necessary, all the necessary to achieve it.

Get help. One of the problems about succeeding in video or any other form of media is the lack of role models. I mean, Oprah just isn’t going to take the time to advise and mentor you, is she? However, you need that kind of detailed, specific, hands-on help. Where can you get it without breaking the bank?

Start at That’s where you’ll find me and the folks called Monitors. I am the originator of this concept and virtually every day of the year (with very infrequent time off for good behavior) I am there being a Monitor and, along with my colleagues, instructing new folks like you.

It is a unique system which creates video professionals like the Monitors at Worldprofit. What’s more — and this is really BIG — your instruction is FREE once you’ve become a Member, that’s right, F-R-E-E. I kid you not.

Here’s just some of what my colleagues and I will teach you… each technique, tactic, and tidbit the distillation of years of actual experience and “been there, done that” hard work, not a word theoretical.

Item: When you’re an ingenue, on camera for the first time or two, you’ll be nervous and that’s ok. That means you are treating the matter at hand with the importance and consideration it deserves.

Item: Smile. Because the matter is important, because you want to get off to a good start, chances are you’ll look like the Grim Reaper when you come up. Remind yourself (by keeping this set of recommendations near) to smile. Remember, the audience wants to like you. Show them you want to be liked; that you’re worthy of their attention and appreciation.

Item: Tell your audience you’re a newbie, still learning the ropes. There isn’t a person in your audience, no matter how large, who hasn’t been in your shoes. Believe me they are rooting for you. Just make sure they know how new and green you are!

Here are some more useful tips.

Item: Place yourself in the center of the screen. Make sure you are not squished in a corner or that your head seems to rest on the bottom pane. That is what I call the “guillotine” position and you know what happened to the folks, even kings like Louis XVI, who made that mistake!

Item: Make sure your lighting is adequate. It should be ample, not generate shadows or glares. It should look entirely natural, flattering, not raking; making you look like the proverbial deer in the headlights.

Item: Make sure your background is plain and simple, never “busy” with lots of avoidable distractions. K.I.S.S. Keep it simple, Simon.

Item: Your clothes should be dressy casual. You should look like a person of the world, which necessarily entails knowing what to wear, when, and how. When in doubt, ask your mother… or ask me. I am a video fashionista!

Still more.

Item: Use a script — and practice. Until you become very comfortable with the camera (like me!), don’t extemporize. The script is your friend.

Item: Keep a dictionary at hand. Look up words you don’t know and how to pronounce them. Adult learners tend to be difficult about this, often regarding the matter of increasing vocabulary and proper pronunciation and usage as cruel and unusual punishment. YOU need to take the broader view.

Item: Eliminate all background noise, including overly indulged dogs and terminally cute kids, all of whom view your air time as the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the power and perfect audibility of their practised shrieks and yelps to the world.

Item: Practice. At Worldprofit we maintain what we call the Live Business Center practice area. In it people can get their on-screen presentation just so. If you don’t have this helpful facility, then ask a friend to assist as I did so long ago with Paul Bloom and his meticulous eye.

Lights, camera…. goof.

Now it’s time to get out there and astonish the world; only unless you’re Superperson your inaugural performance is likely to be less than brilliant, more like a dog’s dinner, glitches, false starts, errors small, memorable, ludicrous. Not to worry. It takes time to get good. So don’t get discouraged. Make your mistakes early, particularly the really memorable bloopers you are sure to make. (Need I say that visiting me at will ensure you make as few and get good as fast as humanly possible.)

Serendipity, Tom Welling, and the power of media, the power you want to have working for you ASAP. .

About 3 a.m. today, while I was working on this article and feverishly trying to find the complete lyrics to “You Ought to Be in Pictures” but with no success whatsoever, the phone rang. It was a gentleman who was on one of our affiliated websites and had what I was looking for. And so he picked up the phone, never mind the time, and called with all the details I required. Hallelujah! The power of media demonstrated yet again. My live presence online united with Tom Welling’s kindness and search skills delivered the bacon. Tip of the hat, Tom… I’d love to have you a participating player at

“You surely should be offered/ A starring part — right away…”

And if no one offers, why then propose yourself for there is a world to conquer… ideas to disseminate! People to touch, change, influence! And as for money… when you’re using media it’s as easy as turning on an endlessly open faucet! So get started now; don’t keep your legions of soon-to-be fans waiting. Haven’t they suffered enough without the immediacy, the vibrancy, the grand reality that is you? Go to and let me know. I am ready to work my proven magic on you, for after all,

“”You’re sweet as a Gaynor/And you’re hot as a gal named West. You’ll even make Garbo jealous/ when you take a movie test.”

Oh, yes, you are going to be “My star of stars!”

A dedication.

To the memory of Paul Bloom. Too soon taken , never forgotten, always remembered and loved. You told me it would happen, then you helped me so it did. Rest now and dream the big dreams forever.

Following debt consolidation, budgeting your money wisely will help you keep future debt to a minimum. Most people get in over their heads by over spending with credit cards, so learn to work with money you have rather than borrowing. Doing this will also make it easier to pay off your debt consolidation loans and improve your credit score.

Debt consolidation works best when applied to credit cards. If you have significant balances on various cards, you’re probably paying way too much in interest and could benefit greatly from a debt consolidation loan. See if you can’t combine all of the debt into one payment with a favorable interest rate, and limit your credit card spending once that is accomplished.

Be careful with the terms of collateral for any debt consolidation loan you apply for. Many times these types of loans will include a clause about your home, should you default on payments. Obviously, this could put you at serious risk should circumstances make meeting your loan payment difficult. Keep your home out of any loan agreement, and read the fine print.

Prior to making any debt consolidation decisions, look at the privacy policy of the company you are considering. You’ll be giving this company a lot of your personal financial information, and what they are allowed to use it for is a really big deal. Never assume in this instance. Look to that privacy policy to know the real situation.

When it comes to dealing with debt consolidation, make sure that you relax. This practice is very common and will help improve your finances when all is said and done. You have the opportunity to lower monthly fees, lower high interest, eliminate late fees, put a stop to those harassing phone calls, and eventually become debt free. You can bounce back from this, but you must keep calm and pay attention to your payment plan.

When you are consolidating debt, you must try to renegotiate with your creditors. Whether you are choosing to try and do this yourself first or have enlisted the help of a debt consolidation company, renegotiation is key to saving you a lot of money when paying off your debt.

If you are looking for a debt consolidation program, consider searching the Internet. Many sites on the Internet offer you the chance to shop various lenders in order to find the best interest rates and terms with one application process. Debt Consolidation Comprehensive Knowledge You Just Have To Have

Not all of us are born with a silver spoon in our mouths. Truthfully, even those who have lots of money aren’t necessarily great at controlling their spending. Whether you are rich or poor, debt consolidation can help you deal with your financial follies. This article will show you how.

Have a clear payoff goal in mind. Rushing to get the lowest interest rate is not the best and only way to pay off your debts quickly. Consider how you can pay off your monthly debts in approximately 3 to 5 years. This helps you get out of debt and raises your credit score.

Try using a debt consolidation service to pay down your debt. When you look for one, make sure they aren’t charging high fees. You can check with a local consumer protection agency like your local BBB. You may have to make sacrifices via using extra lines of credit and harming your credit rating, but they can help get your debt paid off. They generally require a single monthly payment.

Find a debt consolidation service in your area. These services will negotiate with your creditors and manage your payments for you. You will only have to send money once a month to your debt consolidation account and it will then be distributed to the different creditors the service negotiated with.

Look for the lowest fixed rate possible when considering debt consolidation loans. Otherwise, you will constantly be worried about expensive adjustments. A quick loan with quality terms is the best option for you.

Find out whether debt consolidation will require you to take out another loan. If so, make sure that your rates are not too high. Some companies lure people in with the promise of a fixed financial world, but end up giving them a new loan that they have trouble paying.

Once you decide that debt consolidation is right for you, it could be tempting to take the first opportunity offered to you. Do not take the easy way out. Take the time to research the different places and use the company that will give you the best rate possible when consolidating your debt.

There are three types of debt consolidation available to most debtors. The first is a second mortgage or home equity line of credit. The second is a credit card or line of credit which pays off the debts and then has to be reimbursed. The last is a loan from a loved one.

If you are unable to manage various debts and meet your payment obligations each month, you may want to consider debt consolidation. This is a popular way to reduce multiple bills and payments into an affordable single monthly payment. Sometimes you will even have your overall debt reduced with debt consolidation.

Regardless of how you ended up in debt, the fact is that you are having trouble paying it off. That is why you found this article on debt consolidation and why you read it in its entirety.
